Title: Where the Wild Winds Blow
I bear a mark on my skin,
an invisible burden, a cruel thorn.
The clock keeps ticking,
and even if I fall,
I am reborn.
It doesn't own me,
it's only the wind that wants to break me.
But in my eyes I have the fire of dawn.
I rise, though my body aches,
though my soul wants to give up.
Yet I hold tight,
the words: "Don't be afraid, you have a reason to live."
It's a long, dark road,
with steps I can't predict.
But I have faith in me,
and no one can take it away from me..
The battles I've lost, the wounds I've sustained
remind me that I am still...
I know the end seems inevitable,
but today I breathe, and that's enough for me
to smile.
I am more than this endless struggle,
than a diagnosis, a sentence without appeal.
I am a small piece of eternity.
