"For You, My Love, I Would"

I would walk away from the maze we made,

Unweave the knots of pain and pride—

For love that’s pure need not be chained,

But bloom like truth the woods can't hide.

I’d learn from those who speak no words,

Yet love with hearts the world reveres—

From foxes lone, who never stray,

When their love is lost to passing years.

Like the swan, I'd slowly fade,

If fate should take your light away,

Not from despair, but from a bond

That taught my soul how love should stay.

I'd stand like hornbills near their nest,

Bringing hope with every meal,

While you dream and guard our world—

My love would serve, my hands would heal.

And when the night grows cold and wild,

Like otters drifting out to sea,

I’d hold your hand in silent sleep,

So no tide tears you away from me.

In storms where others lose their way,

I’d be your penguin in the snow—

Shielding life, though hunger bites,

While icy winds around us blow.

So let the world be what it is—

Complicated, loud, and wide—

But I will love you simply, true,

With nature’s grace as my guide.
