Title: The Earth's Suspended Breath
On the riverbank, the day freezes in the air,
time takes a deep breath,
refusing to flow any further.
The trees lift their branches, touching the sky.
Their leaves tremble in conversation with the wind.
They whisper words only birds understand.
The stones at the bottom of the stream
glisten with lost fragments of the moon.
They pulsate with pale light beneath the water's surface.
The sun's disc, ripped by the shadow of clouds,
sweeps lazily across fields,
clothed with wrinkles of grass and herbs,
which recall the names of their roots.
Somewhere on the horizon, mountains climb on tiptoe.
They long to peer beyond the curve of the earth,
to decipher the secret the rain guards.
A silence, heavy as velvet,
seats over the valley and fills the space,
placing its hand on the wind's lips.
And everything remains motionless,
in the silent hand of a painter
whose world has forgotten
that it can exist differently.
