Title: I Can't Win Against Fire by Adding Fuel
She's like a poorly set alarm clock,
with a gaze that stings even
when silence falls.
She twists her lips into a grimace,
reflects a wry laugh.
She's a strength, or perhaps a weakness
that knows no other language?
I'm taking a pause,
I don't extinguish fire with another fire.
He who shouts doesn't listen
—so I remain silent and wait
until the echo of my own words tires her out.
