Peace: Courting The Cause
The push for peace will hit its snags
where greed has rule and justice lags,
and wide that berth when, truth be told,
it is that flag that's seen unfold.
God bless the brood that's caring, kind,
a faction faced that's more than blind
to what it means to foster peace,
that love be loosed and slaughter cease.
The lesser lots will cringe in fear
and turn their backs on all that's dear,
but while that plays a precious few
will push for peace like heroes do.
They'll court the "cause" because they must,
pursued the path enjoined as just -
run greed aground (with peace the prize) -
no fickle flame that's in their eyes!
