A Love I Longed For
She stood with tears like morning dew,
Shining with love so pure, so true.
Their eyes met—time forgot to breathe,
As silence wove a tender wreath.
Each drop that fell from lashes long
Was not of pain, but memory’s song.
Of nights she whispered to the air,
Of moments missed, of silent prayer.
She bore his name in every sigh,
Like stars that wait for dawn to rise.
He was her shadow, ever near,
A silent strength, a whispered cheer.
Through every stumble, every fall,
She felt his hands—unseen, but tall.
And now he stood, her wait complete,
Their hearts in one resounding beat.
I watched, and in that sacred sight,
My soul was stirred, my chest grew tight.
For in their love, so warm, so rife,
I saw the dream I’d chased all life.
