When Will the Morning Come?

When Will the Morning Come?

The bright sun has set in the western skies,

Yet the heavens above wear crimson dyes.

It paves the way for the moon to rise,

Though fierce like a sword, it lights the night’s cries.

No calm in the air, no breath of peace,

As shadows deepen, fears only increase.

The tears won’t fade, they linger and burn,

From bleeding eyes, they twist and turn.

Oh, when will dawn break, so gentle, so clear,

To lift these sorrows and quell this fear?

When will the morning come again,

To wash away night’s dark refrain?

In silence, I wait, as stars drift by,

Hoping for light to fill the sky.

For each end births a new beginning’s light,

And day will follow the longest night.

So hold to hope, though the darkness stays,

For sunrise always ends night’s maze.
