Dreams Beyond the Dusk"

"Dreams Beyond the Dusk"

When I am alone, and as the daylight wanes,

The evening comes with soft refrains.

It lights a lamp in thoughts' embrace,

A dream that blooms in a quiet place.

Sometimes, just like this, I sit and sigh,

With heavy breaths and a clouded eye.

My heart feels full, yet aches for more,

A tide of love on a distant shore.

The moments touch, unseen, yet near,

A tender whisper only I hear.

Excitement flows like a secret stream,

Carried away in a fleeting dream.

But then my mind, my quiet foe,

Steals the peace I used to know.

My heart, it holds my secrets tight,

Yet dreams are lost in the depth of night.

Still, shadows linger, steadfast, true,

Through every dusk, through every hue.

They walk with me, a silent friend,

And promise to stay until the end.

So I wander, searching for my heart,

Lost in a maze where dreams depart.

Yet hope remains, a beacon’s glow,

Guiding me where love may grow.

The night may come, the dark may creep,

Yet shadows my soul shall always keep.

And as I breathe my final air,

I know my dreams will meet me there.
