Angel Of The Morning
In the breaking light at the end of night
When your slumber yet is deep
He is made to gaze at the awesome ways
Of an angel fast asleep
There's a certain peace that is now the lease
And it's written on his face
Where a woman lies there are angel sighs
And it's heaven now in place
It's the sacred spot that the Force allots
To a man the likes of he
Who is gazing now and who knows somehow
He is blessed eternally
He will stare as long as he hears that song
That the Chorus came to sing
And he'll turn to God Who'll be just as awed
At the looks of such a thing
In that lover's heart what a piece of art
Is that beauty on this bed
That it makes him weep all the while you sleep
And he bows his grateful head
It's a prayer then that is said again
Ere you rub your sunlit eyes
And you smile at him such a heart a-brim
That the dawn now also cries
