The Loving Soul

The loving soul will ease our pains

and mollify our woes

and take from us our balls and chains

and render light the blows.

The loving soul will spur a dream

when dreams are hard to find -

infused such joy as make us scream

and ease our troubled mind.

The loving soul will light our way

when feeling rather lost -

made good and clear to us that day

all rivers can be crossed.

The loving soul will give us hope

and make us good and warm-

a helping hand that sees us cope

and sheltered from the storm.

The loving soul will dry our tears,

put hope inside our hearts,

the same to last throughout the years,

such wonders it imparts.
