Inner Battle
Amidst the darkness, hatred's vile embrace,
Lust and greed entwine, a wicked chase,
But within, a flame, our spirit's light,
To restore righteousness, we take our flight.
Crime's grim presence born from hearts impure,
Immorality's shadow, intentions obscure,
Weakness veils morality, truth obscured,
Shame upon the misguided, hearts allured.
Blinded they stand, by distractions led,
Divided, they crumble, truth they shred,
Deception's poison taints each thought,
Unethical paths, by greed are sought.
Corrupting hearts, minds desensitized,
To acts unjust, humanity's compromised,
For a mere paycheck, conscience they trade,
Dangerous creatures in shadows they wade.
Yet conscience persists, a guiding light,
Preventing the deeds of the darkest night,
Within us, a battle of wrong and right,
A struggle to uphold our inner might.
The darker desires, they beckon strong,
But our moral compass rights the wrong,
In the face of temptation, we stand tall,
For integrity's call, we heed its call.
So let us unite, against hate's tide,
In the depths of our souls, let love abide,
Seek the truth, let compassion be our creed,
And vanquish the darkness with every good deed.
As we navigate life's complex streams,
Guided by conscience, chasing noble dreams,
Let's rise above, let our spirits soar,
In the symphony of right, let's play our score.
The beauty of humanity, resilient and bright,
Defeating the shadows with truth's pure light,
In this journey we trace,
From darkness to virtue, our souls embrace.
