Imprints of Love
I walked barefoot upon the shore,
Where marks were left forevermore.
To recollect and hold on tight,
The moments of love, pure and bright.
Though waves will wash the marks away,
The heart's soft imprint will always stay.
The smile of dawn, the rising sun,
Keeps me smiling till the day is done.
In the morning dew, I feel the grace,
The tenderness that time can't erase.
Fragrance lingers in the air,
A reminder of love, beyond compare.
I sail through seas of endless thought,
On journeys where emotions are caught.
Soaring high in skies above,
To glimpse the face that made me love.
The heart and mind, they differ so,
One makes me restless, the other aglow.
For the mind may feel the helpless ache,
But the heart knows love it can't forsake.
A shelter where my love does lie,
I see it clearly with closed eyes.
