Title: Traces on Paths That No Longer Exist
When a misty morning awakens dawn over the Raba River,
the calm waters carry memories
in a stream traced in narrow bends.
The meadows smell of dew. Heavy with drops,
they rustle as you walk on them.
.
Oaks – witnesses of ancient journeys,
growing along the road,
hide in their shadow the ancient
beauty of transience without a word.
.
A field, scattered to the horizon
like an unfinished painting,
glisten in the light of the moon,
whose crescent hangs over the village.
It wants to illuminate the gray road:
lonely, heading towards the sky..
Underfoot: sand, gravel,
particles of bygone days,
and in the distance – only silence,
and the scent of homeland..
