The imprisoned beauty
She was like a butterfly, so full of grace,
With angel kisses and a radiant face.
Floating freely in the tender air,
Her beauty unmatched, beyond compare.
Her wings were born of struggle and strife,
Patience had shaped her journey of life.
The spirit of nature had touched her soul,
A heart now fluttering, complete and whole.
A celebration of love, she soared so high,
Painting dreams across the sky.
But shadows loomed, her joy would wane,
A fleeting bliss soon met with pain.
For one day came the flytrap’s snare,
A deadly charm disguised as fair.
His nectar sweet, a tempting art,
Lured her in, and bound her heart.
Unaware of the teeth so sharp and grim,
She lost herself, imprisoned by him.
The freedom she cherished now torn away,
Forever trapped, her wings at bay.
Yet in her struggle, a lesson grew,
For even in darkness, love stays true.
Her spirit unbroken, her soul still free,
A butterfly’s heart beats eternally.
