We argue with you"
The traits of goodness have been lost in us
And the conscience was surely ours
It is the tragedy that has come with oppression
We have encountered what we have encountered from its pain
Types of death have been enacted with injustice
Does it not concern you how many lands we have watered?
I have seen hunger kill every soul
And we did not care for the wombs that we forgot
I see children watered with tears
And they have not found tenderness nor protection
And they cried out from famine hoping that
A little from the crumbs of the generous may come
So my nation has slept in a state of oblivion
And has not risen to save a fetus
We argue with you before God one day
You have been absent and you were not a supporter
Hunger has thrown us into a sick illness
You have been negligent and burdened us with sorrow
And how many setbacks have cast their wheel
We left Jerusalem to remain a hostage
The righteousness of religion, indeed Jerusalem has been lost
To be taken by the coward, and we have not invaded
O Arabs, understand this matter
The return of rights to the oppressed is our duty
So rise from a slumber you have prolonged
The weeping has come seeking tenderness
For if we do not push the grudges away from us
We have violated the covenant in faith and religion
And we may live on the ruins one day
To dwell in humiliation as long as we live
