the cloister of autumn melancholy

Royal Club for Literature and Peace

the cloister of autumn melancholy

Kasia Dominik (Poland)

On the cloister of autumn melancholy .

Half-naked trees bend towards the ground,

the sun fades, losing its golden warmth,

as I watch the dawn blush,

heralding autumn, which is moving briskly.

I am drowning in reflection on transience,

I talk to God about unknown days.

I wonder why they predict the passage of time

dried leaves decorating barrows.

The night that holds the secrets of life,

distorts the thoughts smuggled into the poem.

The moon is sleepless more than usual,

he is my companion, keeping up with me..

These moments are woven with a note of melancholy,

a tear that a daughter sheds for her father..
